Relay Teams
Relay teams may enter. The team must consist of at least 2 crews up to a maximum of 4 crews. Relay teams must change at each checkpoint within 150m of the checkpoint. There are a total of 3 checkpoints (therefore 4 legs). No crew can paddle consecutive legs. Relay teams are responsible for their own transport to/from the top turn checkpoint. All team paddlers are to pay the full entry fee.
Safety/Rules
– All canoes/kayas must carry one personal flotation device (PFD) per paddler at all times. Paddlers under 16 must wear their PFD at all times.
– All canoes/kayaks must have positive buoyancy, that is, if filled with water they must remain afloat.
– Craft will be inspected by race officials prior to entering the pontoon area, to confirm conformance to the above.
– All paddlers must stop and offer assistance to a fellow competitor if they are in need. Times will be adjusted appropriately.
– Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from the race.
